This weekend I visited the Old Court House in Flint for its heritage open day. Also in attendance was the Mayor of Flint, Cllr. Vicky Perfect, and Town Councillor Norma Davies.
The heritage day included exhibitions of our local history – of which there is a fair amount! Above the cafe there were old photographs and short films made by the heritage project.
The films were made by local volunteers and included a story about Dorothy Griffith who was tried for witchcraft in the old Court House in 1655, made by pupils from Ysgol Gwynedd.
It was a fantastic exhibition and the hard work of the local history group shone through. I look forward to further events like this so we can show the fascinating background of Flint to more people.
