A new community centre which will be officially launched this week has already proved to be a major success with many local groups who use it on a regular basis.
Delyn Assembly Member Sandy Mewies with MP David Hanson will officially open Talacre Community Centre on Friday. Funding of £375,000 came from the Welsh Assembly Government through Article 33, BHP Billiton, a local business and Flintshire County Council.

Mrs Mewies said: “This is a fine example of local people, the Talacre Community Centre Trust working with others in the private and public sectors working together to provide an excellent facility. I am delighted to be have been invited to co-open the centre”.
Mr David Hanson MP said:
“It is good to see this brand new resource is already proving to be popular with the local community. The facility offers a real focal point for the town of Talacre
“It is a great privilege to officially open the centre with Sandy and I look forward to meeting some of the people that have worked so hard to get it up and running.”
