Delyn MP David Hanson is urging former miners who are concerned with the way their compensation claims were handled to come forward so he can take up their cases.
David Hanson said:
“I have been working alongside other MPs and the Legal Complaints Service (LCS) to identify where there are still concerns over how miner’s compensation claims are being handled.
“The LCS are working to ensure that any mishandling of claims, leading to inappropriate deductions from miners compensation do not go without being challenged.
“The LCS intend to write to every miner whose claim has not yet been settled in a bid to recover the hundreds of thousands of pounds in compensation that has not been properly administered.
“Any former miner whose claim is still live and has concerns should contact me in the usual ways. Phone 01352 763159, email: hansond(at)parliament.uk or write to David Hanson MP, House of Commons, London SW1A OAA.”
