Delyn MP David Hanson has this week hosted a Westminster briefing with Digital UK to discuss the implications of digital switchover for people across North Wales.
David Hanson said:
“All the houses which are currently serviced by the Moel y Parc transmitter group, which includes Flintshire, will experience digital switchover in two stages, on 28 October and 25 November.
“Although 90% of households across Wales have already connected their man television set to digital TV, there is still much work to be done to ensure that everyone is ready for the switchover.
“The statistics show that older people, particularly those aged 75 and over who are eligible for the Government’s Help Scheme, show markedly lower levels of conversion to digital TV and this is something that I am keen to address.
“It is important that digital switchover in Wales is done right. Digital UK will be contacting households directly in the next couple of months and there will be an overall drive to raise awareness of the issues.
“If anyone has any questions or would like any further information about switchover then please get in touch with me on 0207 219 5064.”
