Delyn MP David Hanson has visited the new Community Room at the Methodist Church, Northop Hall.
The Community Room’s refurbishment has been supported by a number of organisations including the E.ON UK Sustainable Energy Fund, and has reduced the carbon footprint for the room by an estimated 85% saving 3.6 tonnes a year.
Throughout this week there are a number of free events being organised at the Community Room. On Friday, as part of the Welsh Assembly Eating Initiative, local residents will be calling in at the Community Room between 1-30 and 3-00—take time to have a tea or coffee and pick up their preordered bag of salad, fruit or vegetables.
David Hanson said:
“The renewal of the Community Room in Northop Hall is very welcome indeed. The work, which is now complete, includes new heating and lighting and state of the art insulation to make a comfortable and attractive room.
“The members and friends of the Northop Hall Methodist Church must be congratulated for not only attracting the funding for the refurbishment but for setting up an engaging week of free activities for people to enjoy.
“Going forward, a programme of activities at the Community Room is being put in place to address the needs of the Northop Hall community.”
