Delyn MP David Hanson has visited the Co-op store in Flint in order to show his support for Usdaw’s Respect for Shopworkers Week.
The visit provided the opportunity to meet shop staff and discuss the ways in which the store is working with the police and the local community to address retail crime and anti-social behaviour. The Co-operative is working with Parliamentarians, local authorities and the police to find the optimum ways to tackle these issues.
David Hanson said:
“I welcome The Co-operative’s commitment to tackling retail crime and anti-social behaviour directed at retail staff.
“I have been working alongside the shopworkers union Usdaw on this issue over a number of years and although I am encouraged by what has been achieved so far, there is clearly much more that needs to be done.
