Delyn AM Sandy Mewies and MP David Hanson have met Flint’s newly appointed Police Chief for talks. Inspector Iwan Roberts is taking over from Inspector David Roome who is moving to a new role.
Mrs Mewies and Mr Hanson were able to hold discussions with the tow officers at Flint Police Station.
Mrs Mewies said: ” Regular briefing sessions are invaluable for us as politicians so that we can keep informed about initiatives the Police are introducing locally and also to listen to any concerns senior officers may have.
” I can only praise the work Inspector Roome and his team have carried out in Flint and I wish him well in his new role. I now look forward to working in future with Inspector Roberts.”
David Hanson said:
“The safety of people here in Delyn has always been a priority for me and I was pleased to have this opportunity to welcome Inspector Roberts to his new role. This meeting gave Sandy and myself an opportunity to get fully updated on all the local issues affecting our area.
“Inspector Roome did an excellent job for Flint and I know that he will continue to be a success in his new position.”
