National Lottery Funding to Flintshire

I welcome the news that Flintshire has received £34.97 million in National Lottery funding since its launch in 1994, benefiting 1754 projects. The majority of this money went on projects that relate to sport closely followed by heritage grants.

This news follows the recent announcement that Carmel Village Hall received Lottery funding worth £46,425 to help maintain the hall and to put in place some improvements in the kitchen area.

The National Lottery is currently opening up a new round of Big Lottery Funding. Any project can apply for funding between £300,000 and £1,150,000 and more details can be found at www.biglotteryfund.org.uk/CAT2 call 029 2067 8200, textphone 0845 602 1659 or email [email protected]

The National Lottery has helped support many Flintshire projects and I hope that people will see that it is well worth applying for funding from them.

If you are a village hall needing money to repair a leaking roof or a community group wanting to put on a local event then get in touch with the Lottery to see if you are eligible for funding.

I will always try and help anyone who applies for Lottery funding, like I did for Carmel Village Hall where I wrote a letter of recommendation to the Lottery. Please do not hesitate to contact my office and I will help to the best of my abilities.
