Delyn MP David Hanson and Sandy Mewies AM called into the World’s Biggest Coffee Morning on Friday 25th September at Llwyn Beuno Community Room, Holywell.
Organised by Macmillan Cancer Support, individuals and groups up and down the country will host coffee mornings to raise money to help people living with cancer.
Last year the World’s Biggest Coffee Morning saw over 45,000 people hold a coffee morning to help people living with cancer. Together with their friends, families and colleagues they raised £7.5 million.
David Hanson said:
“Money raised helps Macmillan fund more nurses and health and social care professionals, build more cancer centres, improve access to cancer information and provide more financial help to people living with cancer.
“I always enjoy my annual trip to the Llwyn Beuno Community Centre and I know that everyone taking part in this event across Flintshire will raise lot of money for Macmillan.”
Sandy Mewies AM said:
“This is an excellent event which raises money for an excellent cause. Not only do I enjoy meeting up with people at the community centre and getting a delicious scone and cup of tea, but all the money goes straight to helping those suffering from cancer.”
