Delyn MP David Hanson will this Friday visit Mold Crown Court where the magistrate committee has invited local high schools to witness two ‘mock trials’ – 1909 style, and then 2009 style.
2009 marks the 100th Anniversary of the introduction of dedicated courts to deal with young people in the UK.
David Hanson said:
“This event will provide a fascinating insight into the ways in which the administration of youth justice has changed over the last 100 years.
“I am delighted that over 80 students from all over Flintshire are due to be present at the trials and I very much welcome the hard work of the magistrate committee in setting up this event.”
