Delyn MP David Hanson has met with Greenfield Councillor Dave Wilkes to see for himself the environmental improvements in Greenfield Docks and to discuss how they can work together to protect the rights of local fishermen and women.
Cllr Dave Wilkes said:
“I was pleased that Mr Hanson was able to meet with me and see how Flintshire County Council’s commitment to Greenfield Docks, working alongside other partnership agencies, has helped to improve the local environment.
“However, local fishermen have raised concerns with me with regard to their long-term fishing rights in the River Dee. I raised this issue with Mr Hanson and we are going to work together to ensure that local fishermen’s rights are protected.”
David Hanson said:
“I welcome the real environmental improvements at Greenfield Dock and will work with Cllr Wilkes to address the concerns of local fisheries industry.”
