Delyn MP David Hanson and Flint Mayor Paul Cunningham were joined by local councillors Alex Aldridge, Vicky Perfect and Ian Roberts in the new centenary square development in Flint this week to see progress on the first stage of the Flint town centre redevelopment.
The square comprises 33 flats for one and two bedroom use and will be formally open in January 2015. The name Centenary Square is in honour of 100 years since the start of the First World War.
Craig Sparrow of Wales and West Housing joined the event and said:
“Our thanks go to all who have helped with this development including Anwyl construction who have built the site. It’s great to be the first part of the town development completed.”
Delyn MP David Hanson said:
“The people of Flint have been very patient as work has progressed in town but it’s now very positive to see the first fruits of that regeneration with Centenary Square. I’m looking forward to more projects coming to fruition soon.”
