Delyn MP and Policing Minister David Hanson has announced an increase in funding for North Wales Police of 2.5 per cent for 2010/11. This represents an increase from £80.1 million to £82.1 million.
David Hanson said:
“The Government is committed to supporting and investing in the Police force and I am pleased that North Wales Police is receiving this increase in funding.
“Recent statistics show that crime across England and Wales continues to fall and this is due to the excellent work of the police who have been backed by Government with more funding and more powers.
“I will continue to work very closely with North Wales Police to ensure they are given the resources they need to tackle all forms of crime in Flintshire and across North Wales.”
