Delyn MP David Hanson and Flintshire AM Carl Sargeant have recieved a signed letter from Flintshire based driving instructors, contesting the proposed closure of Mold driving test centre.
The Driving Standards Agency is proposing to close the Mold driving test centre subject to the successful acquisition of a facility in Wrexham. This will leave Flintshire without a driving centre and would have a negative impact on users of the service, including aspiring drivers, driving test companies, the staff at Mold and the local economy.
David Hanson said:
“I very much support the retention of Mold driving test centre and I look forward to meeting with and receiving the signed letter from a number of Flintshire based driving instructors.
“If the centre were to close, the need to travel outside the County would bring with it extra expense and inconvenience for drivers.
“I have made representations to the Driving Standards Agency and the Government and will continue to make the case for the centre over the coming weeks.”
