"I have been very proud to represent Delyn since 1992.
I live in the constituency as well as maintaing a full-time constituency office and holding regular advice surgeries across the constituency.
After the 2005 general election, I was delighted to be appointed as Minister of State for Northern Ireland.
From the general election of 2001 until the 2005 election, I was Parliamentary Private Secretary to the Prime Minister, Tony Blair. This position was an honour not just for me, but also for the whole of Delyn. I was the link between the Prime Minister and other MPs and kept him in touch with opinions within Parliament.
I work closely with Ministers in the Wales Office, Welsh colleagues in the House of Commons and Assembly Members to get the best deal for Wales.
The needs of my constituents are my first priority and meet regularly with a wide range of community groups on issues like crime, transport, international development and economic regeneration."
