Home Office Statement: Counter-Terrorism

After Health Questions, yesterday, there was also a statement from the Home Secretary on the disappearance of a UK national who absconded to Syria while on police bail for terrorism-related offences.

I noted that the Secretary of State has form when it comes to losing people on police bail for terrorism-related offences. The Home Secretary has lost Ibrahim Magog, who absconded in a black cab in January 2013 and Mohamed Ahmed Mohamed, who absconded wearing a burqa in November 2013.

She was unable to give an update. Yet again we are seeing the Home Secretary fail to ensure that those who have and are suspected of committing terrorism are held.
