Delyn MP David Hanson has welcomed the confirmation from Denbighshire Local Health Board that primary care services should continue to be provided in the village of Dyserth. The decision is good news for patients from Trelawnyd, Llanasa, Gwaenysgor and Trelogan who use the facility.
David Hanson said:
“The proposals to withdraw the Dyserth branch surgery and provide services from St Asaph stunned many of my Delyn constituents who use the surgery, which is just over the border.
“After considerable resistance to the proposals from both local residents and Sandy Mewies AM and I, the health board have agreed that a primary care service will continue in Dyserth.
“The news will be warmly welcomed, but it is critically important that the Local Health Board, in their urgent discussions with other primary care providers, find a long-term solution to ensure there is minimal disruption for patients.”
