Delyn MP David Hanson has welcomed the latest crime statistics for Flintshire which shows that there has been a 2.1% drop in recorded crime over the last year.
David Hanson said:
“I am encouraged that there has been an overall drop in recorded crime in Flintshire this year.
“There is no doubt that North Wales Police working closely with local communities through its community policing teams, is making a real positive difference in driving down crime across the county.
“I was particularly pleased to see a 3.8% drop in anti-social behaviour. Where anti-social behaviour exists, it can blight communities. The Government continues listen to the concerns of local people and work with local police to ensure that they have the powers they need to tackle anti-social behaviour head on.
“No one is complacent about the challenges and despite a drop in vehicle crime, increases in burglary and violent crime are a cause for concern.
“I will continue to work closely alongside North Wales Police and community groups to tackle crime in all its forms.”
