Delyn MP David Hanson has welcomed the huge funding boost to the Flint Town Heritage Initiative (THI) in Flint. The Heritage Lottery Fund has announced it has earmarked £920,000 for the project.
The Heritage Lottery Fund exists to look after and celebrate our diverse heritage. The grant for Flint THI of £920,000 will be made available once further work on the application has been completed. A development grant of £25,000 has been awarded to support the further work.
David Hanson said:
“This is terrific news for Flint as this project will conserve and restore a number of key buildings in the area and examine ways to increase community and visitor involvement with the built environment.
“It is planned that the THI scheme will help to stimulate the local economy and will build on the success of the Town Strategic Partnership.”
