Hanson Urges Local Businesses to Make Most of Olympic Opportunities

Delyn MP David Hanson is urging businesses in Flintshire to register for e-alerts on the London 2012 website in order to make the most of the forthcoming business opportunities connected to the Olympic Games in 2012.

Mr Hanson is working with the Wales Unit for the 2012 Games in the Department for the Economy and Transport at the Welsh Assembly Government to help encourage the many world class companies large and small across North Wales to look in detail at the potential commercial opportunities arising as part of the multi billion pound London 2012 Olympic Games project.

David Hanson said:

“It would be a real wasted opportunity if local businesses missed out on some of the contracts that will be available simply because there was a simple lack of awareness and forward planning.

“All companies that are interested should register for e-alerts on the London 2012 website www.london2012.com.

“I am also keen to hear from people on how we can engage on this issue and ensure that Flintshire profits from what looks set to be a fantastic event.”
