Delyn MP David Hanson has met the players and coaching staff of Ysceifiog Wolves U13s who have recently triumphed in the Tesco Cup for Wales.
The team will now represent Wales against England, Scotland and Northern Ireland on 22 May at Birmingham City’s St Andrew’s Stadium.
The team, who play in the Clwyd League, have also won the League Cup, the NWCFA Cup and the League in what has been a hugely successful season.
The Tesco Cup, now in its sixth year, runs in conjunction with the FA and local communities, involves three age groups, U13 Boys, U14 Girls and U16 Girls.
This is the first time the 30,000 capacity, Birmingham based St Andrew’s will play host to the UK Final. Twelve teams from England, Northern Ireland, Scotland and Wales will battle for a place in the season finale.
Over 3,600 teams, across 41 counties, have entered the 2010/11 Tesco Cup, all aiming to progress through the County, Regional and National stages of the competition and ultimately represent their country in the UK Final.
