Delyn MP David Hanson has expressed his disappointment that Virgin Trains working alongside Network Rail have so far failed to fully implement their new rail timetable in North Wales.
David Hanson said:
“I am disappointed that the proposed increase of direct weekday services to London and a new hourly service to Chester has been held back. Despite the majority of the timetable being introduced from 14 December these improvements were held back and due to come in on the 26 January. I have been told that reviews of infrastructure are taking place every two weeks.
“I am well aware of the importance of the train service to the people of Flintshire and these delays are not acceptable. I will continue to press Virgin Trains to ensure that this new timetable is implemented in full.”
