Delyn MP David Hanson has welcomed a scheme at Refurbs, Flintshire, designed to give unemployed people the skills they need to get them back into work.
The Flintshire MP visited Refurbs in Flint to meet staff and the latest recruits on the Intermediate Labour Market Project, a scheme co-ordinated by the WCVA and funded through a European Union Grant to help local unemployed people gain the skills and work experience to find permanent employment.
From its premises in Aber Park, Flint, Refurbs take donations of household items – from sofas and wardrobes through to televisions and fridges -and redistribute them at affordable prices to the local community.
