On Saturday afternoon, I attended the Flintshare afternoon tea at Cilcain Village Hall. Flintshare is an organisation who have come together to produce tasty, healthy and fairly priced food with its members. It is a not for profit social enterprise which aims to develop a strong community, who have the chance to learn about sustainable food production.
One of the perks of the job is being able to enjoy a lovely cuppa and chat with local groups like Flintshare. They are dedicated horticulturists who really know their onions, parsnips, broccoli and well everything!
The afternoon tea was a perfect way to spend an October afternoon. Bringing together the community to share in a good old natter and a slice of cake.
