Delyn MP David Hanson has met with EADS’ Vietnamese representative, Jean-Michel Caldagues and welcomed an agreement between Vietnam Airlines and Airbus to purchase six aircraft including four Airbus 380s.
David Hanson met with Mr Caldagues in Hanoi during his recent trip to South East Asia as Home Office Minister.
Vietnam Airlines has signed an agreement with Airbus, and plans to fly the double deck jets on new services to the USA.
David Hanson said:
“I was pleased to be able to met with, and talk to, Mr Caldagues, whilst in Vietnam on Government business.
“This is clearly good news for Airbus here in Flintshire and further recognition of the strength of the Airbus global brand.
“This Government has invested heavily in the Airbus site here in Broughton and we are proud to have such a world-leading facility in North Wales.”
