Delyn MP David Hanson has officially reopened the Halkyn Post Office in its new home at the Blue Bell Pub, paving the way for more people to access post office services in a easy and much visited location.
Mr Hanson was on hand with Sandy Mewes AM to officially reopen the post office which will help provide services to the community of Halkyn through its new premises in the Blue Bell pub.
The opening of the post office in the pub is a move to try and locate services in convenient places for local people to help ensure they can make best use of the post office, whilst also helping reduce overheads and costs for the post office.
David Hanson MP said:
“The re-opening at Halkyn is very welcome news for the whole community. It’s also very positive and welcome that both the blue bell pub and the post office can benefit from the co-location in the pub – its vital for rural areas that every effort is made to keep such facilities open and thriving.”
