David Hanson MP has visited the Maes Garmon school as part of Parliament week to meet the pupils and tell them all about the role of an MP and why politics matters to them.
As part of his regular outreach and education with schools in Delyn, Mr Hanson met the children at Maes Garmon. In his visit he took questions from pupils and encouraged them to the see how political decisions and Westminster are relevant to their everyday lives. ‘Parliament Week’ is running between the 14th – 20th November 2014 with a programme of events and activities taking place throughout to connect people across the UK with Parliament and democracy and this visit was part of those activities.
David Hanson MP said:
” Getting young people engaged in politics is important for our future so I hope the students at Maes Garmon found it interesting and started to think about how politics and democracy affects them. It was an interesting day and I hope to return again soon.”
