Delyn MP David Hanson has backed the Royal Society for the Protection of Birds (RSPB) “Vote for Bob” Campaign by posing with ‘Bob’ the RSPB squirrel.
Mr Hanson has signed up to the ‘vote for bob’ campaign to support greater protection for natural habitats, local wildlife and the environment.
The RSPB campaign was launched after a number of controversial environmental government policies including an attempt to sell off public forests, the disastrous badger cull policy, and a lack of action to protect the bee population in the UK. Mr Hanson was one of a number of MPs who have signed up to the campaign to back better support for our environment to ensure it can be protected and enjoyed for years to come.
David Hanson MP said:
“Flintshire has some of the most beautiful wildlife and scenery in North Wales, and I think it’s important we have better protection for our environment and our wildlife. Unfortunately the government has shown a real disregard for animals and the environment in office which is why I think this campaign is so important.
The RSPB ‘vote for bob’ campaign has captured the public imagination with a large number of supporters writing to me here in Flintshire, so I’m glad to support it and will be campaigning for it in parliament.”
