Minister for Justice David Hanson dropped in at the North Wales Area Probation Office in Flint to celebrate a special birthday last week – his department is one year old.
And to mark the occasion he served up a delicious chocolate cake for Probation Service staff.
Mr Hanson, the Labour MP for Delyn said:
“At least there is only one candle on this cake – the last one I had had 50 and was for my birthday.
“There is some real good work being carried out locally with Unpaid Work teams across North Wales delivering a record volume of hours (over 133,000).
“I just wanted to offer my congratulations to the Probation Service and say Happy Birthday because they’re doing a great job.”
Mr Hanson also took time out to chat with Judith Williams, Probation Service Area Manager for Flintshire and Wrexham, and her staff.
