On Thursday, I asked the Second Church Estates Commissioner what steps the Church of England is taking to assist with refugee resettlement in the UK.
The Church nationally has been very active on refugees. Parishes such as Holywell have been very supportive and active, too. The Home Secretary has now apparently made a commitment to accept child refugees to the United Kingdom.
I welcomed the words of the Second Church Estates Commissioner. I hope the Government will support parishes up and down the country who wish to help refugees, and encourage more people to come forward to foster unaccompanied child refugees.
